This is the place for good satire and humorous comments on the world's odd ways. The Newspaper Illustrators House is a visible proof of newspaper cartoonists having a special status in Norway. The museum has a total of 250 m2 exhibition area, you can see works by the famous newspaper comics such as Finn Graff, Inge Grødum, Pedro, Morten M, Jan.O., Herb and all the other great artists in this form of journalism in.

Drøbak – free city for persecuted cartoonists

It's not just writers who are threatened on their life when they make use of their right to free speech and expression. It also applies to newspaper cartoonists. Drøbak is the first city in the world which has been approved as a “Free-city” for newspaper cartoonists. This means that a persecuted artist gets the possibility to live and work in Norway for a period of two years.
